18 May 20192019 Congress Fossuk Federation of Swiss Societies UK

The 2019 AGM & Cultural Weekend will take place London from the 17th to the 19th of May.

We would like to invite you and friends to this year's Congress of the Federation of Swiss Socities in the UK. Anyone with an interest in the Swiss community are welcome to attend, with voting durinig the AGM restricted to FOSSUK members.

The meeting itself will be hosted, kindly, in the Embassy of Switzerland in the UK, in London, which includes speakers from Switzerland and a talk by Ambassador Fasel looking at elements that impact Swiss citizens living and working in the UK, with a focus on Brexit and Settlement applications.

All events are free to attend, however booking your place is essential due to space limitations at the Embassy and Victorinox store.

FRIDAY 17 MAY: Talk & Exhibition

18:30: Neil Heritage (war hero) talk & Fiona Bunn exhibition at the Victorinox London Flagship store with light food, Swiss wine & cheeses. Hosted by New Helvetic Society, in partnership with “Victorinox” & “Swiss Quality UK”.

Free event, however the registration deadline is Friday, 13th May. Space is limited – booking confirmations on a first-come, first-serve basis.

SATURDAY 18th MAY: AGM & Cultural Programme

At the Swiss Embassy, London - free to attend, but you must reserve your attendance using the booking form as space is limited.

13:30: FOSSUK Annual General Meeting and address by Ariane Rustichelli, Director of the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad (OSA).

15:30: Presentations by H.E. Ambassador Fasel and Sarah Lagger on Brexit and citizen’s rights and by Suzanne Egloff, President of the Swiss Benevolent Society. Cultural programme with a talk by Alexandra Lavizzari (writer & painter) and entertainment by singer Elena Flury with an Apéro generously provided by H.E. Ambassador Fasel.

SUNDAY 19th MAY: Guided Walking Tour

10:00: Guided Swiss heritage walking tour of London with Peter Barber, former President of the "Unione Ticinese", meeting us at Embankment station. Free to attend, but you must reserve your place by returning the booking form.

12:00: Lunch & refreshments at the Sun & 13 Cantons pub in Soho (self-paid based on what you order off the available menu).
