17 June 2014Dinner at St. Moritz, Veal steak with wild mushrooms

The CSC met on 17 June at the St Moritz restaurant for a cosy supper. It was a chance for existing members to meet up and also to make new acquaintances. I travelled up from deepest Somerset and was not disappointed. Committee member Ursule Thurnherr introduced the evening and made us most welcome over drinks and canapés in the cellar bar. After pleasant conversation, we adjourned upstairs to the restaurant, in readiness for the delights of Armin's Swiss menu. This evening we enjoyed marinated beef salad, fillet of veal in a mouth-watering cream sauce with roesti and spaetzli, followed by sumptuous apricot tart with ice cream. The evening progressed with convivial conversation, helped along by some Swiss wine, and the prospect of meeting up again in the not too distant future for further events in the Club calendar. I look forward to the next time!
