14 December 2013Flash Mob in Central London

What is Santacon?
On Saturday, 14 December 2013 a group of City Swiss Club members and friends met in front of St. Pauls Cathedral to take part in the world's largest annual Santa parade throughout the city of London. We were lucky as the weather was clearly on our side, sunny and not too cold.

After a nice breakfast we embarked together with hundreds of fellow Santas on a route throughout the city.

We were walking from St Paul’s towards Aldwych, joyfully mixing with surprised tourists. We then moved North towards the British Museum, were passers-by clearly did not expect ‘live art’!

We had some food and some magic Santa brewage to get some strength and then proceeded South-West towards Leicester Square and then North towards Oxford Street where we surprised Armin at the St. Moritz restaurant. The event climaxed at Portland Place around 5pm.

But the day didn’t end here for the City Swiss Club Santas – we spontaneously decided to visit Marc & Ann-Mari Peter who offered us delicious home-made Swiss cookies. We all had a lot of fun and we will definitely participate again next year.
