22 November 2014 – Ball at Claridge's Hotel London

The bi-annual City Swiss Club Ball held at Claridge’s on Saturday November, 22 was an outstanding, splendid event.

176 guests joined us at Claridge’s and the evening began with a Champagne reception and a chance to mingle and greet old friends.

The wonderful lots coming up in the auction in aid of the Theodora Children’s Trust were on display; two models showcased exquisite jewellery pieces offered. Some fabulous raffle prices could be admired and everybody got in the spirit of a festive evening to follow.
The ballroom gleamed in its beauty; wonderful floral displays gave an elegant finishing touch to the tables, and a fabulous dinner was enjoyed by all.

It was the first time the City Swiss Club held an auction in aid of a charity. We are proud to say that we raised £11,000 for the Theodora Children’s Trust. It was happy faces all around, as the bidders went home with some wonderful lots.

Music featured throughout the evening, Susie Parsley and her exciting band The Score and special guest Sandra Ledermann entertained all present.

The evening drew much too quickly to an end. When the carriages came, we reluctantly took our leave of a truly magnificent occasion. Heartfelt thanks to HE the Swiss Ambassador, Mr Dominik Furgler, the generous sponsors, the staff at Claridge’s and the hard working
Ball committee of the City Swiss Club.
